The OBA London committee is delighted to announce the panelists joining this entertaining private equity evening, led by Ludovic Phalippou, Oxford Said Associate Professor of Finance.
Ludo will be joined by Oxford Saïd alumnae Lauren Chung (PSP Investments), Katherine Murray (Private Equity lawyer and co-author of Private Equity Laid Bare) and Michaela Wood (CVC Capital Partners) who work in three different areas of private equity: pension funds, the law and fund management. The panel discussion will focus on their private equity learning journey, what are the most striking things they have experienced both through their education at the School but also since graduating. Perhaps they will venture to challenge Professor Phalippou?
Alongside the panel, Ludo will talk about his new book Private Equity Laid Bare in which he de-bunks the myths and familiarises any reader with the jargon and mechanics of the industry using simplified examples, real-life situations and results from thorough academic studies. He provides an insider's view - from an outsider - into this secretive industry.
