Oxford Women’s Leadership Community

The OWL Community is a network of diverse and dynamic Oxford business alumni and students dedicated to supporting alumnae and female students of the University of Oxford to achieve positions of seniority in their careers. We provide a platform for members to connect with one another across geographies, industries, and career stages.

Our activities focus on networking and professional development that foster life-long learning, and the formation of empowering relationships both locally and globally. Both women and men are welcome to join.

Current students at Oxford Saïd

OWL Community operates under the auspices of the Oxford Business Alumni (OBA) network. OWL Community is the alumnae-led sister organization of the student-run Oxford Business Network for Women’s Leadership (OBN).

If you are a current student at Oxford Saïd you are welcome to join OWL Community and participate in our initiatives.

Our governance structure

OWL Community is guided by an Advisory Council of experienced business leaders. The current Advisory Council members are:

OWLC’s activities are governed by a volunteer Executive Committee of up to seven individuals. The current committee members are Emily Chew (MBA ’09, Trinity College), Mele-Ane Havea (MBA ’10, St Hugh’s College), Nadia Khamis (MBA ’14, St Hugh’s College), Erica Mackey (MBA ’10, Green Templeton College), Nidhi Thachankary (MBA ’14, Pembroke College), and the current co-chairs of the Oxford Business Network for Women’s Leadership, Alexia Doyamis (MBA ’15, St Hugh’s College) and Kate Jarvis (MBA ’15, Kellogg College).

New members of the OWLC Executive Committee are drawn from the leadership/Chair/Co-Chairs of the student-led OBN. Members of the Executive Committee agree to serve for a minimum period of two years.
