Alumni Annual Fund 2012/13
Executive Summary
While Oxford is an extraordinary institution, the fast pace of change in the business world means that we must constantly evolve and adapt. Since arriving in Oxford two years ago, I have challenged the notion that "change" within an 800-year old institution is impossible. To the contrary our community has been successful in proving our ability to innovate, as demonstrated by the launch of the Oxford 1+1 MBA programme and the GOTO initiatives, and by the 2013 Alumni Annual Fund (AAF).
The results of this year’s AAF – a 100% increase in giving and in number of donors - reflect a community committed to supporting our agenda to benefit our students, faculty and the broader community. You should each be incredibly proud of your individual role in this process.
I am personally grateful to so many who have supported this year's appeal: Thank you to all our renewing donors, and thank you and welcome to all new donors. Thank you to the alumni Campaign Champions, who tirelessly dedicated valuable time, energy and resources in encouraging participation among peers. The work of the Campaign Champions is pivotal to the success of the Alumni Annual Fund, highlighting how much we can achieve when we leverage the full potential of the OBA Community. And thanks also go to our energetic staff that supported the Fund.
By each of you giving what you can, the 2012/13 Alumni Annual Fund will deliver much needed funding for the year ahead. This report is intended to celebrate the generosity of every gift and to provide donors transparency and assurance that all funds have been allocated according to the AAF’s funding priorities.
Our strategy for the year ahead remains clear: Establishing Saïd Business School as a world-class business school community, embedded in a world-class University, tackling world-scale issues. The Alumni Annual Fund, wider OBA network and your support are central to the success of this mission, and I look forward to continuing to work in the year ahead.
Thank you again for your generosity.
Best wishes,
Peter Tufano
